Free New Testament Commentaries provides free, full-length exegetical and theological commentaries on the books of the New Testament, written for pastors, teachers, students, and serious readers who want careful but accessible help understanding the biblical text.

Each commentary seeks to follow the biblical document on its own literary, historical, theological, and canonical terms, with particular attention to the flow of the argument or narrative, historical setting, use of the Old Testament, major interpretive questions, and theological significance.

Full-length commentaries on Paul’s letters, following the argument and theology of each letter while attending to its historical circumstances, major interpretive questions, use of Scripture, and significance for Christian faith and life.

HEBREWS & GENERAL LETTERS

Full-length commentaries on Hebrews and the General Letters, attending to their distinctive historical settings, theological emphases, use of Scripture, pastoral purposes, and contribution to the theology of the New Testament.

REVELATION

A full-length commentary on Revelation will complete the New Testament series.

USE AND AVAILABILITY

These commentaries are made freely available for noncommercial educational, ecclesial, and personal use.

Readers may download and share the PDF files freely, provided the works are not sold, altered, or presented as someone else’s work.

The PDF editions are the primary public versions because they preserve the formatting, pagination, headers, page references, and layout of the completed commentaries.

New volumes are added as they are completed.
